We now have the Room
that will be soon “The StillRoom”.
Last Monday, we got
the key, we haven’t had much time to do all we wish to transform an otherwise ordinary
office into “Our Room”.
We have been imagining
this space for long time, now we can make it a reality, and we believe that the
reality will be so much better than what we pictured in our mind.
We will fill the now
empty walls with shelves of books and beautiful pictures of nature and words of
wisdom from people we admire and from books we love,
we will leave crystals
and quartz stones around to help creating a harmonic
atmosphere,
we will have subtle
room fragrances to calm the mind with their scent,
we will have a small
water fountain which, with its continuous graceful flowing sound, will soothe the
senses.
We wish to make this a
place, that, people can feel different, free from pressures, fears and stress
of our daily life, that, they can consider as a “breathing place”.
We feel a bit of
natural uncertainty and fear, but we are also excited, and, the faith, we have
in this project, keeps us focus of one important aspect of this idea: this is a
project without a deadline, we wish to let things evolve naturally at the right
pace, we want to believe that the people that might need us or share this idea will find us when the time is
right for them and for us; there is no rush, there are no places where we need
to be or go, or things we need to do when we are here in “the StillRoom”.
The Room is the Unit 2 Lambay House, Donabate,
County Dublin. There is no
telephone there or internet connection, you will be asked to switch off your
mobile phone, tablets or whatever electronic devices you carry with you, the
Room is a place to be, without thought for the outside world.
